It was held at Smythe Street Cathedral. It gave us the opportunity to talk with members of our church’s leadership over a meal. So after eating, they toured us around the area. Then, we were gathered in the main hall where Pastor Verner led a brief talk about the church and what they are about.
We’re not really into fancy birthday celebrations. As long as we get to spend time together, all is well. So what we did is we drove all the way to Oromocto to eat Chinese food. We just can’t get enough of rice meals and dad said they really serve good food.
Pork Kebab with Ginger Lemon Marinade
First dinner for the month of April. My sister did the cutting, marinating and the grilling part and I helped with putting them on the sticks. Don’t judge. I do other stuff too. lol. This is actually the first time we prepared a kebab and it was a success. Yay!
We went to King’s Landing Historical Settlement last Saturday. It was interesting to know how people lived back in the days. Anyway, it was really cold which is totally unexpected because it’s Springtime. Well, it was deceivingly sunny that I only wore a sweater. And the wind chills didn’t help with all that walking.
P.S. Will post more pics soon. :)
It was the 2nd day of Spring and the weather was perfect to do some exercise. So we headed to the Walking Bridge in downtown. I haven’t had much exercise for the past few weeks so I opted to do walking /brisk walking for the first 5km and jogged all the way to the end of the bridge (approx. 1km). It was pretty tiring. We went home afterwards to eat. Then, we decided to play badminton outside. T’was a really fun day!
Our flight was delayed for 24 hours. And since Dad, Tito Choi and Tito Roland were already in Montreal, they had to stay at a hotel. It was surreal seeing them after 53 hours of travel time. Most of my relatives (dad’s side) are already in Canada for years and it was actually a dream come true having us live in the same city as all of them. After years of praying, God never failed us. :)
And I am sure of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion. (Philippians 1:6)
P.S. My nickname is misspelled, as usual.
Ambassadors of Goodwill Rehearsal (August 2009)
I was one of the AOG staffers but I barely attend pageant rehearsals since it is held on Sundays. Well for us, Sunday is family day. So this was my one of the few times I attended the rehearsal. Since I was just a trainee, I had to for requirement purposes.
