#94 I LOVE MINIONS!!

So this year, I decided to dress up as one for Halloween! I think they are just the cutest thing ever. Their language and their songs are just adorbs!

#93 Listening to Christian music makes me calm.
Being the Vice President-External of JPIA, I was required to bid on projects so that we would get the privilege to host it. My school would always win the major projects such as Regional Assembly and Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill so there’s always an added pressure in making sure that I get to present it really well.
I remember being so  nervous that I can even feel my whole body shaking (the air-conditioning might be a factor too since I get cold easily). So what I would do is just sit in a corner, bring out my music player, then go through my Christian music playlist. And all of a sudden, I can just feel a sense of peace.I love how Joyce Meyer puts it:

“Worship will get you through the roughest times in your life, because it shifts your focus from the problem to the problem solver.”

#92 Parent Trap was one of my favorite movies growing up.
I even tried eating oreo with peanut butter because of this. Could they have inspired Oreo’s Peanut Butter Creme cookies?

#91 I played Meg in our Hercules play.

We put so much time and effort in writing the script, buying/sewing our costumes and making the props just to find out (on the performance day itself) that it’s only considered as part of our 10% class participation. Haha! No regrets though since we enjoyed spending time with each other during rehearsals.

My 3 closest friends were the muses. So I love the scene where I had to sing "I Won’t Say I’m in Love". Oh, and they even got me one of those clip-in ponytails just so I can imitate Meg’s long and voluminous hair.

#90 It’s funny how I can relate to the song, Everybody’s Got Somebody But Me.

Yesterday, I was hanging out with my sisters and their boyfies when someone suddenly hugged me from behind. It was my cousin, Faith pala who then told me, “don’t worry, you have me!” LOL. She is just the sweetest! I honestly don’t mind though since I treat them as my brothers so I don’t feel much of a third wheel (or a fifth wheel in our case).

I know my time will come so I’m waiting expectantly for God’s best!

P.S. I love Kina Grannis’ cover of this song. She has such a beautiful voice! Go check out her youtube channel here.

#89 I love taking pictures of my baby cousins.
…which is mostly candid. I tend to keep taking pictures until I get the perfect shot (or at least something decent) and let’s just say that they have so much energy to stay put.

#88 I have always wanted to try travelling by myself.
To be honest, I am scared of the idea of travelling alone because what if I get lost and people there couldn’t (or choose not to) understand a word I’m saying? What if I didn’t have enough street wisdom/skill to survive? But when I think of all the good things I can benefit from that journey, it makes me giddy inside. I get to meet new people and maybe spend one of the best nights with them. I get to see all the architectural beauty that place has to offer and try out their to-die-for selection of food. And just being able to let go of that fear is like a breath of fresh air.
I feel like when you are alone, you get to focus on God all the more, And I think this is a great way to spend time with Him and appreciate the beauty of His creation.

#87 Apple Crisp is the first thing I have ever baked from scratch.
If you know me, you would know that I don’t really bake or cook. But recently, I have been into cooking and baking (which is making me feel independent, btw). I realized that sometimes, you just need to believe that you can do things so you would stop being lazy about it.
Oh, and that’s my sister on the top left corner. She loved it so much that she wanted to take a picture with it. lol
If you are interested to try it, here's the recipe.

#86 I love receiving handwritten letters.
Whether it’s long or short or a note written on a sticky note, it doesn’t matter to me. I keep everything.
I have this box of letters that I brought with me when we moved out of the country. It has letters even way back in elementary (or middle school) days which is at least 10 years ago. I love how so many things have changed and yet reading those letters brings me back to that certain moment in time.

#85 I have always believed that God’s best will come in God’s perfect timing.
I have been holding on to this all my life and so far, He has never failed me. When we moved to another country, I was praying to get involved in the leadership ministry. It’s amazing that not only did He make me a leader of a small group, I was also chosen to be a part of their senior leadership ministry despite me being relatively new to their church, (There’s only a few of us in the senior leadership team so it was a big deal for me.)
It took my at least a year before I became a leader in our church and few months after that, senior leadership team. It involves a lot of waiting and praying. But it’s always worth it in the end.
