#100 I would never regret joining JPIA.
It may have caused me sleepless nights, the inability to study for long hours, the constant struggle of finding the right balance between studies and extra-curricular activities, the lack of family time on Sundays due to pageant rehearsals, the addiction to Starbucks’ Caramel Frappe to keep me awake, and tons of fast food junk in my tummy because they are the only food chain open past 9pm. But you know what? I’m still glad to have experienced all that and so much more. Because of JPIA, I got the opportunity to know people who I now treat as my closest friends, people who I know would always have my back even though we’re thousands of miles apart. I love how they make you feel that you’re part of this big family where you get to call past officers your mom and dad, and the ones who take over your position, your son/daughter.
So thank you, JPIA for making my last 2 years in university really memorable.
#99 I want to travel to Italy.
It started with watching the movie (and reading the book) Under the Tuscan Sun, then watching Letters to Juliet and this video by wendyslookbook. I’m just in love with their food and landscape so definitely adding it to my Bucket List!
#98 I am so blessed to be a part of an awesome student ministry.
Ptr. Mike Miller even said that we are one of the most, if not the healthiest and most influential student ministry across the Maritimes. Living in a small city makes you think that the big cities would always have better conferences, more attendees, great speakers, and the like. So when someone from a bigger city tells you that you have that too is just really encouraging to say the least.
#97 I am scared of haunted houses.
There was this one time when Kuya Bryan, my older cousin, insisted in bringing me with them (to which I eventually gave in). And let me just say that I am never coming back. Also, expect these things to happen when you’re with me: I will ride on your back or have you carry me so I can avoid the scary people wanting to grab my foot; and I will hug you as tight as I can to shield my eyes from anything spooky.
And you don’t want that, right? So don’t even think about making me go to a haunted house with you. Srsly. JUST. DON’T.
#96 I discovered a new passion for capturing the sunrise.
I have always been in love with nature especially the sky. I like staring at the clouds when I’m travelling whilst trying to think of things or animals they would represent. So here’s some of my #Sunrise shots on IG. Also, I take pictures on my way to the office so I’m blessed to have captured this beauty despite taking it from a moving car.
#95 I love doing word search puzzles.
I remember when I was little, my mom used to buy me word search books and I would just never get tired of going through each and every page.
#94 I LOVE MINIONS!!
So this year, I decided to dress up as one for Halloween! I think they are just the cutest thing ever. Their language and their songs are just adorbs!
#93 Listening to Christian music makes me calm.
Being the Vice President-External of JPIA, I was required to bid on projects so that we would get the privilege to host it. My school would always win the major projects such as Regional Assembly and Mr. and Ms. Ambassadors of Goodwill so there’s always an added pressure in making sure that I get to present it really well.
I remember being so nervous that I can even feel my whole body shaking (the air-conditioning might be a factor too since I get cold easily). So what I would do is just sit in a corner, bring out my music player, then go through my Christian music playlist. And all of a sudden, I can just feel a sense of peace.I love how Joyce Meyer puts it:
“Worship will get you through the roughest times in your life, because it shifts your focus from the problem to the problem solver.”
#92 Parent Trap was one of my favorite movies growing up.
I even tried eating oreo with peanut butter because of this. Could they have inspired Oreo’s Peanut Butter Creme cookies?
#91 I played Meg in our Hercules play.
We put so much time and effort in writing the script, buying/sewing our costumes and making the props just to find out (on the performance day itself) that it’s only considered as part of our 10% class participation. Haha! No regrets though since we enjoyed spending time with each other during rehearsals.
My 3 closest friends were the muses. So I love the scene where I had to sing "I Won’t Say I’m in Love". Oh, and they even got me one of those clip-in ponytails just so I can imitate Meg’s long and voluminous hair.
